This limestone floor in Portsmouth, Hampshire, was very dirty and needed a thorough deep clean. Heavy soiling affected both the tiles and grout lines, leaving the kitchen floor looking tired. Because the limestone tiles had bevelled edges, diamond polishing was not appropriate for this particular floor. Using diamond pads across bevelled tiles can leave faint lines on the stone, so we selected a cleaning process suited to the construction and condition of the floor instead. We thoroughly deep cleaned the limestone tiles and grout lines to remove the accumulated dirt. Fortunately, mechanical polishing was not required, and the cleaning process alone produced an excellent improvement. The finished limestone looked considerably cleaner and brighter and made the kitchen look fantastic.
