Genuine restoration project · Godalming
About this limestone restoration project
After successfully restoring a similar basement floor at this property, we were invited back to treat the limestone flooring across the ground floor and a first-floor bathroom. As is common with newly installed stone, the floor appeared dull and patchy, with widespread grout residue and an incorrectly applied initial sealer. Heavy use by the family and pets had also left notable scuff marks throughout the high-traffic areas.
To address the damage, we performed thorough diamond honing across the main kitchen, lounge, entrance hall, corridors, and small toilet. This process completely removed the embedded scuff marks, surface contaminants, and leftover grout haze. After honing, we diamond-polished the stone to restore a smooth, elegant lustre across all treated areas.
To ensure long-term durability and protection against daily family life, we fully sealed the entire floor upon completion. A single technician completed the restoration efficiently over two days, leaving the ground floor and bathroom with a clean, beautifully finished stone surface.
