Limestone Floor Restoration in Dorking, Surrey

This limestone floor in Dorking, Surrey was restored as part of a wider renovation covering the kitchen, combined lounge and extension, together with a large hallway elsewhere in the house. Years of use had left the stone and grout looking tired, and restoring the floor was an important part of making the renovated rooms feel bright, fresh and complete. Our two-person team worked over three days. We deep cleaned the limestone tiles and grout lines, repaired several cracks and holes where suitable, then diamond skimmed and progressively diamond polished the stone to refine the worn surface and improve its consistency. A suitable impregnating sealer was applied on completion to reduce absorbency and help protect the restored limestone. The finished floor transformed the renovated space, bringing back the limestone’s natural colour and complementing the light from the large glazed areas and the views outside. The customer was delighted with the transformation.
