Limestone Floor Cleaning & Polishing in Guildford, Surrey

This contemporary kitchen in Guildford, Surrey had a very dirty Jerusalem-style limestone floor extending through the main kitchen, dining area, utility room and a small entrance hall. The tiles and grout lines had accumulated heavy ingrained soil, leaving the natural stone looking dull and tired. The project was completed over two days by one specialist. We deep cleaned the limestone tiles and grout lines using a professional rotary machine, then lightly refined the stone with diamond abrasives to improve the surface without applying an artificial coating. The floor was thoroughly rinsed and a suitable impregnating sealer was applied to reduce absorbency and help protect against everyday spills and soiling. The completed floor looked cleaner, brighter and more consistent while retaining the natural character of the Jerusalem-style limestone. The refreshed stone worked particularly well in the contemporary kitchen and dining space, and the client was very happy with the result. This Guildford project is also representative of the limestone floor cleaning and restoration work we undertake in nearby Godalming, Leatherhead and surrounding Surrey areas.
