About this limestone restoration project

This beautiful limestone floor throughout the kitchen, dining area, small cloakroom and boot room had become dull and dirty through everyday use. The stone had lost much of its natural appearance, with food and drink stains and several etch marks affecting the finish.

The customer wanted the limestone professionally cleaned and restored to bring back its natural beauty and give the whole kitchen area a fresh new look.

**Deep Cleaning the Limestone and Grout**

We began by thoroughly deep cleaning the limestone tiles and grout lines to remove ingrained dirt, residues and everyday contamination.

Particular attention was given to the kitchen and dining areas, where food and drink spills had left staining and etch marks on the surface of the stone.

**Removing Etch Marks and Diamond Polishing**

Once the floor was clean, we treated the etch marks and stains before diamond skimming the limestone using specialist diamond abrasives.

We then progressively diamond polished the floor to refine the surface and restore the natural clarity and lustre of the limestone.

On completion, the floor was finished and protected using stone soap, leaving the limestone looking clean, smooth and beautifully restored.

The complete limestone cleaning and restoration of the kitchen, dining area, cloakroom and boot room took one technician just one day to complete.

The transformation really brought the kitchen back to life, and the customer was extremely pleased with the finished result.
