Floor Polishing Services
Limestone, Marble, Travertine & Terrazzo Floor Cleaning, Polishing & Restoration
Genuine restoration project · Worthing
This newly installed vinyl flooring at a pharmaceutical packaging facility in Worthing, West Sussex, required professional deep cleaning and sealing following refurbishment works to the packaging areas and the installation of new pill packaging machinery.
Although the vinyl flooring was new, the renovation works and machinery installation had left the floor requiring a thorough clean before it could be professionally sealed and protected.
**Deep Cleaning the New Vinyl Flooring**
Our two-man team worked out of hours during the evening to minimise disruption to the facility and its normal operations.
We thoroughly deep cleaned the newly installed vinyl, removing dirt, dust and residue left behind from the refurbishment and installation works. The floor was then carefully rinsed and prepared ready for the protective seal.
**Working Around Pharmaceutical Packaging Machinery**
One of the main challenges was working around the newly installed pill packaging machines. Particular care was required around the machine rails, wheels and feet, which needed to be carefully protected throughout the sealing process.
It was essential that no floor seal was allowed to come into contact with the machinery or its components, while still achieving a consistent protective finish to the vinyl immediately surrounding the equipment.
**Sealing & Protecting the New Vinyl Floor**
Once the floor was completely clean and correctly prepared, we applied the protective floor seal. This provided the new vinyl with a hard-wearing sacrificial surface to help protect it from everyday foot traffic, scuffs, marks and general wear.
The finished flooring looked clean, fresh and professionally finished, providing the newly refurbished packaging areas with the protection required before regular use.
